Guardian Uniforms
Throughout the Empire, the Guardians are known as symbols of justice and stability provided by imperial leadership. Though in many ways a military organization, only rarely does the Order require a specific uniform for its participants. More often than not, Guardians are free to select their own styles of clothing, often drawing upon the culture of their species, their homeworld, and their personal interests and preferences. Garb is often seen as an expression of individuality, though there are some minor regulations meant to communicate such important features as rank and sect affiliation.
RANK AND UNIFORM
As a Guardian progresses through the Order of the Light, their overall garb comes to reflect both their rank and the sect that they follow. Though Guardians of every rank and sect are typically given tremendous freedom in the clothing they wear, there are key garments which are required by all Radiant individuals.
- INITIATE: When first joining the Order, initiates are unmarked, having no affiliation with any of the Sects. Their colors should be neutral and not affiliated with any Sect-affiliated color scheme.
- NOVICE: After being sworn to a sect, the Novice gains their first crystal saber and is awarded an arm band in the color of their sect. The gold saber and arm band in this case indicate participation in Ordo Vindori.
- PAGE: Once elevated to the rank of page, a Guardian is permitted to display an obi in the appropriate sect color. Apprenticeship with a higher-ranking Knight or Master begins soon after.
- KNIGHT: After years of training and apprenticeship, a page is awarded the rank of Knight in an elaborate ceremony. A Guardian Knight displays their rank and sect with an appropriately-colored tabard beneath the obi.
- MASTER: Once awarded the rank of Master, a Guardian is permitted to wear the ceremonial robe in their appropriate color. If elevated to Grand Master, they also take on a stole awarded by The Order.
